Epoxy flooring is optimal for environments with heavy mechanical traffic, forklift impact, dry manufacturing, and automotive workshops where high compressive strength and chemical resistance to oils and solvents are required. Polyurethane (PU) screeds are formulated for food and beverage plants, chemical processing, and wet environments where thermal shock resistance (e.g. steam cleaning or freezer storage) and resistance to organic acids (lactic, acetic, citric) are paramount.

For pedestrian and light hand-pallet traffic, a 1.5 mm to 2.0 mm high-build coating is suitable. For active forklift bays and 3-to-5 ton reach trucks, we recommend a 3.0 mm to 4.0 mm self-smoothing epoxy screed. For heavy engineering and concentrated steel-wheel loading, a 5.0 mm to 6.0 mm heavy-duty mortar screed is required.

We utilize captive dustless shot blasting and heavy diamond planetary grinding to achieve a Concrete Surface Profile (CSP) of 3 to 4, as defined by ICRI (International Concrete Repair Institute). Acid washing is never used as it introduces moisture and acid residues into the concrete matrix.

Typically, light pedestrian traffic can enter the floor within 24 hours at 25°C. Light vehicular traffic (pallet trucks) is permissible after 48 hours. Full chemical cure and heavy forklift operation are reached after 7 days. For fast-turnaround facilities, we offer rapid-cure polyaspartic and methyl methacrylate (MMA) systems that achieve full mechanical cure in 2 to 4 hours.

Substrate moisture testing, crack inspection, oil penetration depth, and floor flatness (F-numbers) must be professionally evaluated to ensure zero delamination risk.
